Policies

Reservations: Reservations are guaranteed, and rates
confirmed, with a 50% deposit. Your credit card will be charged the balance
as you arrive for your stay, unless otherwise arranged.
Cancellations: 14 day notice is required for a full refund
on cancellations, minus a $25 cancellation charge. Cancellations made
with less than 14 days notice will receive a refund only for dates re-sold.
No refunds for early departures.
Security Deposit: No security deposit is required. We
will keep your credit card info on file as security for damage or missing
items.
Occupancy: Rates are based on 8 guests. Maximum 10 overnight
guests allowed. No more than 30 people total may occupy the house and
grounds at one time, due to rural water systems limitations.
Check In/Check Out Time: Check in after 4:00pm and check
out by 11:00am.
Coded Entry: An electronic entry keypad by the front
door will be programmed with your four-digit phone number. When leaving,
please lock all other doors and exit from the front door only, using
your code.
Smoking: Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
Children: Kids of all ages are welcome.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.
Quiet Time: Quiet time is from 11:00pm to 7:00am. Please
be kind to our neighbors.
Safety: The house is located on the waterfront, with
a dock, hot tub, rock walls and other safety concerns. You are responsible
for the safety of your children so please supervise them.
Parking: Park directly in front of the house, alongside
the garage, or on the flat area adjoining the driveway next door. Do not
park on the upper road asphalt area or on the driveway leading down from
the road, as this driveway serves two houses.
Shopping: Closest shopping is an Albertson's grocery
store 2.4 miles north of the house, where there's also a gas station,
a restaurant and a few shops. Many other shopping choices are also nearby.

Telephone:
Local service is provided. Long distance calls are restricted, but toll
free calls are okay. For long distance we recommend calling cards and
cell phones. Phone number in the house is 360-394-7770.
Trash/Recycle: A small trash holder is under the kitchen
sink and a recycle bin is in the marked cabinet. Large trash cans are
located on the street side of the garage, along with recycle bins. Please
separate your recyclables.
Water Systems: Our rural homes on Miller Bay are served
by wells and septic systems, not by city water and sewer systems. This
requires us to restrict usage of the house to 30 people during the day
and to 10 people overnight.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a coffee maker, stovetop espresso,
toaster, blender, rice maker, microwave, dishwasher, gas range and full
size refrigerator/freezer. It is fully equipped with all the spices,
oils, cooking and serving utensils you should need.
Washer/Dryer: The euro-style washing machine uses higher
temperatures instead of bleach. Do not use bleach, as it will damage the
machine.
Cable TV/Internet: Cable TV is provided in each bedroom
and in the family room. Service provided is basic cable. High-speed wireless
cable modem Internet access is provided, which requires a laptop with
a wireless card. The system password is written down on the table in the
family room. There is no charge for Internet access.
Hot Tub: There is a hot tub below the deck with a locked
cover. Please read the precautions and operating tips posted on the wall
next to the hot tub before using.
Basement: There is a ping pong table in the unfinished
basement that you may use.
BBQ and Patio Heater: An outdoor propane barbeque and
a propane patio heater are provided. We will be glad to review their operation
with you.
Cleaning: You're welcome to strip the beds, but not
necessary. House cleaning is included at the end of your stay. Running
the dishwasher as you leave would be appreciated.
