Spirit Bear of the Great Bear Rainforest

Spirit Bear or Kermode Bear is a subspecies of the American Black Bear. Because of a recessive gene, one out of every ten black bears is born white. In 2004 a decision will be made about logging their forest. Proceeds from the sale of this painting will go toward saving the Great Bear Rainforest.
